Bring Green to the Kerem

Kerem HaTeimanim, Tel Aviv · 2021

In the "Bring Green to the Kerem" project, residents organized by street or building to create community mini-gardens all over the neighborhood. The project ran with no funding at all, powered by the community.

Bring Green to the Kerem

Together, we planned the corners, collected second-hand materials, planted, and built compost bins.

We showed residents how we can create and shape our urban space ourselves, without depending on the local authority – making it greener, more communal and more beautiful.

Even though the municipality never transferred the budget it had committed to, because of bureaucratic obstacles, we carried out the project anyway, with no funding at all.
