MISSION Philippines
"MISSION Philippines" is a network of social organizations in the Philippines that includes humanitarian aid in disasters, planting food forests and founding anthroposophic schools, new models of governance, and more.
During two long stays in the Philippines, I took part in founding and running several social and environmental initiatives. I also introduced alternative economic and organizational foundations to the local community, and learned and grew together with them.
The Balay Hilway project
In this project, we founded an eco-village and a multidisciplinary school to provide long-term food and educational security.
The village works to preserve the local ecology and forest, practices and teaches farming according to permaculture principles, and more.
The Mission project
In this project, we introduced processes of social threefolding and civic engagement together with the local authorities and even the national government.
We also worked with humanitarian organizations to find housing solutions for victims of natural disasters and to build schools.
